Thirsty Thursdays – Bullet Martini

Bullet Martini Recipe from TheBar.comI really wish I could handle the flavor of Sambuca, but despite my Italian roots, I just can’t handle Anisette. I know, it’s strange, and likely what confirms to anyone suspicious that I’m not 100% Italian. But this drink seems pretty tasty, given the flavors involved: dry gin, anisette, lemon, sugar… Maybe the lemon would cut out the black licorice taste enough that I could tolerate this one, but it’s gonna be tough to try!

Either way, if you’re a fan of black licorice (anisette) and cool looking martinis, hit this one up!

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Tanqueray London Dry Gin
  • .25 oz. Romana Sambuca
  • 1 splash lemon juice
  • 1 splash sugar syrup
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest

Preparation

  • Add Tanqueray London Dry Gin, Romana Sambuca, lemon juice, and sugar syrup to cocktail shaker.
  • Shake with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass
  • Garnish with lemon zest
