It's essentially the same thing they soak cherries in to make them "maraschino" cherries. It's a blend of pomegranite juice and sugar, and is very syrupy. It's also what's used to make Shirley Temples! So essentially if you eliminated the crown royal (and maybe even replaced it with ginger ale or something like that) you'd wind up with a very fruity Shirley Temple here... :) I used to drink those all the time when I was a kid... loved them! Or a mixer? I used to do some bartending a LONG time ago but since I never drink I can't remember this stuff.
