- He’s earned several multi-platinum and gold albums, Grammy, Tony and Emmy awards, Cable Ace, Golden Globe and Oscar nominations. He’s got two Grammy nominations in the 50th Annual Grammy Awards, winners to be announced February 10th, 2008.
- His film acting debut was as B-17 tail-gunner Clay Busby in Memphis Belle (1990). He played mass-murderer Daryll Lee Cullum in the Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter film Copycat (1995) and Captain Jimmy Wilder (“Let’s kick the tires and light the fires, big daddy!”) in Independence Day (1996). He also plays Daniel Connolly in the current in-theaters flick, P.S. I Love You
