New Feature: Crooner Weeks

Okay, so I find myself getting sucked into the worlds of these crooners and then it’s time to write about another one. But I’m not finished writing about the first one, so I’ve done some thinking and decided that maybe I should just focus on one crooner per week and then go down my list, and rotate from there.

I guess I’m thinking this way because I know that typically people are fans of one particular crooner or another, especially given the fact that you kind of run the gambit with decades and styles and such. You’ve got your jazzy crooners, your R&B crooners, your big band crooners, and so on.

The other factor here, like I mentioned in the beginning, is that I just barely delve into the life and times (and songs) of one particular crooner and I’m off writing about a different one for the next day. It makes me kind of crazy, filling up my bookmarks with certain pages of certain crooners and such, and then I find that I rarely go back to them to get more info later. I’d rather almost write a week’s worth of posts about one particular artist than to have to skip around so much.

Besides, I think it might keep things a little “neater” around here, don’t you?

So beginning next week, I’ll be focusing on one crooner per week, and then will rotate through them once I finish them all. I’ll start next week with Bing Crosby, given the current poll in the sidebar (have you voted yet?). Sound good?
