I stand by the fact that I was just born in the wrong era.
It makes me think about things like reincarnation and stuff sometimes, when I think about how drawn I am to the music and the lifestyle of the 40s, 50s, and 60s… I know, it’s weird, but it really makes me wonder.

Actor Joe Mantegna, who played Dean Martin in HBO’s “The Rat Pack” bought the rights to Dean’s biography back in September of 2006, supposedly to make a movie of the famed crooner’s life.

This cracked me up from the very beginning… “Schenectady” is about 15 minutes down the road from me, and when people use that city in a joke, it just is too hilarious to me. I’m still waiting for someone to buy me that video subscription (or even just a few individual DVDs) to the Dean Martin Variety Show archives (including the roasts, of course). I love this stuff, and yes, I know this is more 60’s and less “classic crooner” (especially with Miss Horne involved) but I think this is just cool as hell.
I love how the clip opens with her taking off her wrap. I can’t imagine how many women walked up to good ol’ Dino and had that initial reaction! LOL

Studio says producer sold rights it didn’t own.
NBC’s complaint alleges that many of the episode excerpts belong to the studio—and not Greg Garrison Productions. The studio says it owns the copyrights to 235 episodes. “Material portions of at least 86 episodes of The Dean Martin Show owned by NBCU have been copied and included on the best-of-shows DVDs,” the complaint states.
NBC had apparently been considering packaging the Dean Martin properties when representatives learned of the Best of Dean Martin series. The complaint says NBC Universal believes Guthy-Renker has sold “many thousands of copies of the infringing DVDs and has grossed …read more
