Okay, so there’s a lot more to the show than this, but I just had to post this as a highlight.

He loves his Italian food, and loves to speak Italian with an accent… HE IS SO FREAKIN’ CUTE!
“Oh! ma-ma!” *big huge cheesy grin*

Video Week – First YouTube Result for Etta James

This vid is SO CUTE… It’s of course, “At Last” by Etta James. The first result in a search for her on YouTube comes up with this photo montage of people in love, love graffiti, and so on. It’s so adorable, don’t you think?!
For those who are curious, the most popular post (most searched for, and most visted) on this entire site has been “At Last” lyrics by Etta James!

Video Week – First YouTube Result for Dean Martin

Video Week – First YouTube Result for Dean Martin

I don’t remember if I’d written about this story before, but the first search result today for Dean Martin in YouTube gave me “That’s Amore” and every time I hear that song, I’m reminded of my silliness as a teenager.
I went to Italy for a summer exchange program when I was 16, and one night, the girls and I couldn’t stop giggling. The host father kept coming up the stairs telling us, in thick Italian, to shut up and go to sleep.
He’d close the door, and we’d start laughing. So I wanted to keep it going, and decided to …read more

Video Week – First YouTube Result for Harry Connick, Jr.

Okay, so I lied, it’s the second result, because the first one had embedding disabled. This one’s from the “When Harry Met Sally” soundtrack. He was SO YOUNG HERE!

I really love this song… not just for a love song, but totally for a “first dance” song in a wedding. It’s really great.
Remember that scene in “Love Actually”, when they’re about to leave the church, and the best man had set up a bunch of trumpet players in the pews, with a band up top, and a singer, singing? I think this song would’ve been a better choice, to …read more

Ahhhh… “Fever” by the late and great Peggy Lee. TOTAL CLASSIC!
This vid just shows a montage of photos of the gorgeous blonde, and it’s no wonder men loved her… with this song, and her looks, I have to say she might just have had something!

Video Week – First YouTube Result for Marilyn Monroe

Ah yes, the “Happy Birthday Mr. President” on May 19, 1962 shows up first in YouTube today when searching for “Marilyn Monroe”.
What a classic, if not questionable, display!

So much controversy around this – all the JFK conspiracy theories and such, and this one stands out quite a bit. No wonder they compared Mr. Hillary Clinton to JFK!

Video Week – First YouTube Result for Frank Sinatra

Video Week – First YouTube Result for Frank Sinatra

Time has not been my friend this week – been working on tax stuff, and work stuff, and dealing with a foot of snow.
So this is going to be video week, posting the first YouTube resulting video for select crooners.
Getting started with the most famous of them all, Frank Sinatra, here’s a vid of someone singing “Fly Me To The Moon”. She’s actually got a beautiful voice, she’s just cheezin’ it up a little too much I think.

Oh, and she has a safety pin in her ear… did you notice that? LOL

John Legend-like female neocrooner: Sara Bareilles

John Legend-like female neocrooner: Sara Bareilles

I was watching her on “The View”, and have seen her on TV quite a bit lately. She reminds me of a female version of John Legend with her lyrics, melody, piano playing, and beat. She’s kinda cool, don’t you think?
She’s had little to no formal voice training… she’s a natural!
The big song we hear all the time from her these days is “I’m Not Gonna Write You A Love Song”.
Here’s the lyrics – Video to follow…
Head under water
And they tell me to breathe easy for a while
The breathing gets harder, even I know that
You made room for me but …read more
